    Our vendors will be offering produce, pasture-raised meats, sustainable seafood, soaps, crepes, ice cream, breads and baked goods, goat cheese, mushrooms, flowers, bedding plants, vegetable and herb plant starts, honey, coffee, wine, baked desserts, and vegan entrees and sides.

    A free outdoor painting and drawing event for all ages! Sunday, October 1. Rain date: Sunday, October 8. In case of inclement weather, call the hotline for recorded information: 301-474-0646. 10:00am – 1:00pm: Bring your art supplies! Check in at the Greenbelt Community Center, then enjoy painting or drawing outdoors at a variety of locations around the city (maps provided.) 1:00pm – 2:00pm: All participants are invited back to the front lawn of the Community Center for a picnic and art share. Bring your lunch or take advantage of the Greenbelt Farmers Market and other carry-out dining options.   3. HERE TO STAY- The Music of the Greenbelt Pioneers

    When the first families moved into Greenbelt on September 30, 1937, American Big Band music was at its peak. It on the airwaves, and songs by Gershwin, Ellington and other songwriting titans helped to keep Greenbelters’ toes tapping and hearts singing in their new town. This fall, on the 80th anniversary of the pioneers’ arrival, that music will have the same joyful effect on you! Join host Chris Cherry and pianist Stefan Brodd for an entertaining program featuring talented Greenbelt vocalists, classic film clips, and lively commentary. FREE, but tickets are required. To order tickets, call or visit the Community Center business office (301-397-2208) Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 4:30pm.
