  2. BIKE RODEO

September 23, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Beltway Plaza - Breezewood Drive parking lot

Bike rodeos are designed to help children who already know how to ride develop safety skills under the guidance of veteran cyclists. Youth are given an opportunity to learn real-life bicycle-handling skills that enable them to safely ride in neighborhood areas: braking, balancing, basic road rules, and how to handle obstacles. Children must have a helmet to participate. Free helmets for kids (while supplies last) are provided by Proteus Bike Shop. Limited number of bikes will be available for use during event. This event is co-sponsored by the City of Greenbelt Recreation Department, Greenbelt Police Department, Beltway Plaza, Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Paradyme Management and Proteus Bike Shop. Please call the Weather Hotline for cancellations or delays, 301-474-0646.
