  • General Information

    1. Program contact: Nicole DeWald, Arts Supervisor. 240-542-2057. ndewald@greenbeltmd.gov. First-time applicants: please make an appointment for a studio tour before applying (required).

    2. seeks to provide a mutually supportive and inspiring work environment for experienced visual artists. A diverse group of participants is sought whose work is thoughtful, original and of professional quality. Applicants should be able to demonstrate both a strong personal commitment to their own work and an interest in contributing to the cultural life of the local community. Artists working in any visual arts medium (including fine crafts) are welcome to apply. Participation is open to persons ages 18 and above. Special consideration will be given to qualified Greenbelt residents if all other qualifications are deemed equivalent. Non-residents of Greenbelt are also encouraged to apply.

    3. All sections of this application should be prepared with equal care. Individual artistic and professional achievement are weighted equally with the applicant’s potential to thrive as a member of a creative community and to engage the public at large through teaching and/or outreach projects.
