Public Works Maintenance Worker III – Temporary Position – Salary $14.95 to $17.59 per hour
Performs advanced tasks in the support of maintaining all buildings.  Performs regular maintenance on HVAC units in City buildings including cleaning coils, inspecting motors and changing filters.  Performs basic plumbing repairs on toilets, urinals, sinks, garbage disposals and water fountains.  Performs general maintenance on all City buildings.   High School diploma or equivalent and four years of progressively responsible experience.   A City of Greenbelt application is required.  To apply log onto www.greenbeltmd.gov.  EOE  ADA


Public Works Maintenance Worker II – Starting Salary $28,204
Provides building maintenance by sweeping, scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors, using brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers and buffers. Dusts, waxes and polishes furniture.  Washes walls, windows, ceiling fixtures, blinds and room partitions. Cleans urinals, toilet bowls, mirrors, sinks and water fountains; replaces deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels and soap.  Moves heavy furniture, supplies and equipment in order to accomplish custodial tasks.  Removes  trash from area to central pickup point.  Minimum Requirements:  High School diploma or equivalent and two to three years of progressively responsible experience.  A Maryland State Driver’s License is required.   A City of Greenbelt application is required.  To apply, see application below.  EOE  ADA.  This position is Open until Filled.


CRISIS INTERVENTION COUNSELORPart-time (20 hrs per week) Salary $24,000/yr w/pro-rated benefits.  Provide emergency and on-going counseling services involving domestic violence, rape, suicide, family conflict and juvenile crime.  Monthly on call duties and Wednesday evenings required. Bilingual skills a plus. Requires Master’s Degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, or Professional Counseling (or license eligible LGSW, LGMFT, LGPC).  The City provides a generous fringe benefit package including medical, dental, life and retirement plans.  A City of Greenbelt application, available below, is required. Park Ranger, City of Greenbelt Recreation Department

Salary $8.00/hour; Employment Type: Part-Time (Seasonal)
Job description
The City of Greenbelt Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Park Ranger.  The Park Ranger is a part-time, seasonal position with patrol shift hours from March-October.  Primary duties include patrolling and inspecting city parks, educating the public on city parks, and enforcing rules and regulations to ensure compliance with park ordinances. Park Rangers assist with ensuring public safety in city parks through education and enforcement.  Park Rangers monitor group rentals of park space to ensure compliance with established rules and address any issues accordingly.  Additional duties include completing work requests for any maintenance issues at parks, assisting with various department special events, and assisting with programs led by Naturalist position. This position requires weekend hours.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Education:  High School Diploma required; College degree or attendance preferred; some experience in park management, recreation, natural sciences, public relations or related subjects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Notes:

  • Must be at least 18 years old. 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
