The City of Greenbelt is a progressive and creative organization/community that embraces diversity.  If you take great pride in your work – the City of Greenbelt may be the place for you.  This is a F/T position to include working Saturday and Sunday with alternate days off during the week.  Performs general custodial duties in City buildings using chemicals and cleaning solutions.  Runs powered cleaning equipment, cleans and oils it and changes brushes and accessories.  Provides for the collection and disposal of refuse from City Parks and facilities in a timely manner.   Drives refuse/recycling collection trucks.  Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; and two to three years of experience or any combination of education, training and experiences.  A CDL driver’s license is required.  To apply go to www.greenbeltmd.gov and click on current job openings.


PARK RANGER I: $8.50 per hour
The City of Greenbelt – Recreation Department will be accepting applications for the position of Park Ranger I. This is a part-time, seasonal position. Duties include patrolling city parks, special assignments from the Director of Recreation, and occasionally leading programs for the public.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, college attendance desirable, some experience in park management, park maintenance management, park administration, recreation, natural sciences, public relations or related subjects; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Police Officer (Candidate) $37,544.00/A ($18.05/hr) and Certified Police Officer $40,497.60/A ($18.37/hr.): Min. age 21; U.S.Citizen; H.S. Diploma or GED; vision correctable to 20/20; valid driver’s license; drug screen & background check with written exam and physical agility test at a later date for PO Candidates.

Communications Specialist:  $16.88/hr. ($40,851.20/A). Min. age 18; U.S.Citizen; H.S.Diploma or GED; computer experience preferred; drug screen & background check with written exam at later date.
