Advise the City Council on matters relating to recycling and the environment. These matters include, but are not limited to: the education of Greenbelt citizens about recycling, source reduction, waste collection, composting, hazardous waste, clean water and air and litter prevention. The committee also makes recommendations regarding changes to the recycling and refuse collection programs to maximize recycling and minimize landfill waste.
