MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
Held Tuesday, August 17, 1999
For the purpose of meeting with the new Assisted Living Task Force.

The meeting began at 7:45 p.m. It was held in the Council Room of the Municipal Building.

PRESENT WERE: Council members Rodney M. Roberts, Alan Turnbull, Edward V.J. Putens and Mayor Pro Tem Thomas X. White

STAFF PRESENT WERE: Michael P. McLaughlin, City Manager; David E. Moran, City Clerk and Karen Haseley, Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor

ALSO PRESENT WERE: Alexander E. Barnes, Sr., Audrey Barnett, Maureen Callanan, Helen Geller, Leonie Penney, Betty Timer, Sarah Mullaney, Christal Parker and Cassie Triplett; Task Force Members

Mayor Pro Tem White welcomed everyone and thanked them for participating. Council Members provided their thoughts about the task force’s role and mission. Task Force members asked Council questions about: the history of Green Ridge House, the status of the Greenbelt Nursing Home and zoning.

Council left the meeting at 8:20 p.m. and the Task Force held an organizational meeting.
