MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
Held Monday, March 20, 2000
For the purpose of meeting with representatives of the College Park City Council.

The meeting began at 8:15 p.m. It was held in the Council Room of the Municipal Building.

PRESENT WERE: Greenbelt Council members Rodney M. Roberts, Edward V.J. Putens, Thomas X. White and Mayor Judith F. Davis. College Park Council members Eric Olson, Robert Catlin, Alan Wanuck, Peter King, Mark Shroder and Stephen Brayman

STAFF PRESENT WERE: Michael P. McLaughlin, Greenbelt City Manager; David E. Moran, Greenbelt City Clerk; and Richard Conti, College Park City Manager

Representatives from both Councils discussed the March 16, 2000 draft letter to Governor Glendening regarding preservation of the environmentally sensitive area on the Smith property. Various changes to the letter were suggested and discussed. The representatives present supported a revised version of the letter, but acknowledged formal consideration was still needed by both Councils.

The meeting ended at 10:20 p.m.
