The Public Works Department is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and preservation of the physical condition of the city.

Electronics Recycling, Saturday, January 28 from 9am-12pm at Public Works Facility, 555 Crescent Road.
Donation Dropoff, Saturday, January 28 from 9am-12 at Municipal Building Parking Lot, 25 Crescent Road.
Water Quality and Development Workshop, Saturday, February 4 from 2-3:30pm at Greenbelt Community Center, 15 Crescent Road
Presidents Day of Service, Monday, February 20 from 10:30am-1pm. Protect Trees from Beavers and invasive English ivy. Meet at Public Works Facility, 555 Crescent Road.


Duties
Public Works Department duties include:
  • Ball field and park facilities maintenance
  • Beautification landscaping
  • Fleet maintenance
  • Grass mowing
  • Intra-city transit (Greenbelt Connection)
  • Leaf, brush, and yard waste collection
  • Oversight of recycled waste material collection
  • Recreation facilities maintenance
  • Refuse and special trash collection
  • Road signage and traffic lane marking
  • Snow removal
  • Street, sidewalk, curb, and gutter repair
  • Street maintenance
  • Tree planting and grounds maintenance
