Purpose
The purpose of the Employee Relations Board is to:
  • Conduct hearings when a classified, permanent employee receiving a dismissal, suspension, or demotion files an appeal, then render a decision that stands as the decision of the City of Greenbelt
  • Hear grievance complaints, make findings, and recommendations to the City Council
  • Review personnel policies and practices as they relate to appeals and grievances brought before this board
  • Make recommendations to the City Council and city manager for the purpose of resolving difficulties prior to a need to file an appeal or grievance
