Greenbelt City Council Election will be on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 
Polls will be opened from 7am-8pm
Precinct 3 votes at Community Center
Precinct 6 votes at the Greenbelt Police Station
Precinct 8 votes at Springhill Lake Recreation Center
Precinct 13 votes at the Greenbriar Community Center
Precinct 18 votes at Schrom Hills Park*

TYPE OF GOVERNMENT

The City of Greenbelt elects a seven-member City Council every other year. The mayor and mayor pro tem are chosen by the City Council, the members are elected at large, with the highest vote getter traditionally being selected as mayor and the second highest as mayor pro tem.

Voter Registration
The Voter Registration Deadline for the 2019 City Election is October 7, 2019. 


Greenbelt residents are reminded that to participate in the 2019 City Council election—whether as a voter, a candidate for City Council, or a signer of a petition for a candidate—you must be qualified to vote in Prince George’s County.

Absentee Ballots

Any qualified registered voter can vote for City Council by absentee ballot.

Early Voting
City Code States: "Early voting will begin on the third Saturday prior to the election and end on the first Friday prior to the election on the following schedule: Third Saturday (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) and third Sunday (11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) prior to the election in Greenbelt East; second Saturday (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) and second Sunday (11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) prior to the election in Greenbelt West; and Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and Tuesdays (9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) in the municipal building throughout this period."

ANY OF THESE TIMES AND LOCATIONS.

Early Voting at Municipal Building, 25 Crescent Road 
(Mon., Wed., Thur. & Fri. 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Tues., 9 a.m.-8 p.m.)
