In celebration of the city’s 80th anniversary, Burnham has created an original, immersive exhibition inspired by the Greenbelt community and its built environment.

Classes begin during or after the week of September 11. 
All programs are open to both residents and non-residents of Greenbelt.

2017 Festival of Lights Juried Art and Craft Fair

Crafters, fine artists, writers, musicians, filmmakers, youth and non-profit groups: applications for booth space at this year’s show will be considered on a rolling basis. Fair takes place December 2 and 3.

Celebrate the 80th anniversary of the arrival of Greenbelt’s first residents with a program of 1930s popular music, classic film clips and lively commentary. Hosted by Chris Cherry and pianist Stefan Brodd with additional Greenbelt vocalists.

These performances are FREE, but tickets are required. Call 301-397-2208 or visit the Greenbelt Community Center business office, M-F, 9am - 4:30pm.

Celebrate Greenbelt’s legacy of both community arts and green space at a FREE outdoor painting and drawing event for all ages!
10am-12pm: check in at the Greenbelt Community Center then enjoy painting and drawing at a variety of locations around the city (maps provided.) Participants will bring their own art supplies.
1pm - 2pm: meet back at the Community Center front lawn for a picnic and art share. Bring a lunch or take advantage of the Farmers Market and local eateries.
