CENSUS 2010... The Census is a count of everyone residing in the United States-Citizens and Non-Citizens. It helps to determine Federal Funding, US House of Representative seats, facility locations and much more. It only takes 10 minutes and is confidential. Jobs are now available with the Census Bureau. Friday, March 26th from 7-10pm, SPRING FLING DANCE for 8-14 year old at the Springhill Lake Recreation Center. Dance and have fun with your friends. Refreshments available for a minimal cost.

March 29-April 2nd, 9am-12pm, FAST BREAK BASKETBALL CLINIC, at Springhill Lake Recreation Center. Open to children ages 8-12.

Saturday, April 3rd,1:00pm, ANNUAL SPRING EGG HUNT, Greenbelt Community Center front lawn. Ages 18 months through 6th grade can join Mister Bunny in finding eggs. This year the egge hunt is followed by AN ARTFUL AFTERNOON. Join in Arts and Crafts making cloth fairies and Manga elves with Celestine Ranney-Howes. At 3pm enjoy the Spilling Ink Project, memorable tales from Indian folklore through traditional South Indian classical dance.

Sunday, April 18th, 1-5pm, Spring at the Greenbelt Museum, 10-B Crescent Road. Free tour of the Museum house. Sneak peak of the new victory garden. Buy summer-flowering bulbs. Kids can plat a see to take home, or make a May basket.

Saturday, April 24th, from 10:00am-2pm, EARTH DAY AND ARBOR DAY CELEBRATIONS, at Buddy Attick Park. Help plant a rain garden, participate in a tree planting, or take a nature tour of the park. Step next door for the ANNUAL PUBLIC WORKS OPEN HOUSE, enjoy demonstrations and tour the facility. Hot dogs and light refreshments.

new75th ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE
The celebration of the City’s 75th Anniversary will occur in 2012. Applications are being accepted from residents interested in serving on this volunteer planning committee. Council will begin interviewing applicants for this committee in late November. Click here to download application.

GREENBELT ANIMAL SHELTER: OPEN VISITATION DAYS: The Greenbelt Animal Shelter, 550-A Crescent Road is now open regularly for visitation and adoption on Wednesdays, from 4-7pm and on Saturdays from 9am-12pm. Info: 240-508-7533.

Delegate Healey Offers Scholarship Funds for Local Students: Anne Healey, State Delegate from District 22A, Prince George's County, will award Maryland House of Delegate Scholarships to students from her district. Students can call 301-858-3961 to have the application mailed to them, or visit www.delegatehealey.com and download it directly to their computer. Completed applications must be postmarked no later than April 15, and awards will be announced in June.
