IN THE NEWS... CENSUS 2010... The Census is a count of everyone residing in the United States-Citizens and Non-Citizens. It helps to determine Federal Funding, US House of Representative seats, facility locations and much more. It only takes 10 minutes and is confidential. Jobs are now available with the Census Bureau. The City of Greenbelt is proud to support local organizations which provide arts, athletics, recreation and service opportunities. Applications are being accepted now for financial and in-kind support during the period of July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011. GREENBELT ANIMAL SHELTER: OPEN VISITATION DAYS: The Greenbelt Animal Shelter, 550-A Crescent Road is now open regularly for visitation and adoption on Wednesdays, from 4-7pm and on Saturdays from 9am-12pm. Info: 240-508-7533. GOVERNOR'S WELLMOBILE: The WellMobile is at Springhill Lake Elementary the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month from 9am-3pm. Appointments can be made by calling 1-866-228-9668. Delegate Healey Offers Scholarship Funds for Local Students: Anne Healey, State Delegate from District 22A, Prince George's County, will award Maryland House of Delegate Scholarships to students from her district. Students can call 301-858-3961 to have the application mailed to them, or visit www.delegatehealey.com and download it directly to their computer.
