CARJACKING SUSPECT ARRESTED
On Thursday, June 1st, at 9:00 P.M., Christopher Andre Gibson, 21, of 7919 Mandan Road #302, turned himself in to investigators at the Greenbelt Police Department and was served with warrants charging him with the May 19 th carjacking the 9200 block of Edmonston Road, as well as two armed robberies reported the same date in the 9300 block of Edmonston Road. The warrants charge the suspect with the following crimes:
The Carjacking in the 9200 block of Edmonston Road:
Two counts of Kidnapping, 1 count of Carjacking, 2 counts First Degree Assault, 1 count Armed Robbery, 1 count of the Use of a Handgun During the Commission of a Felony, 2 counts Second Degree Assault, 1 count of Transporting a Handgun in a Vehicle, 2 counts of False Imprisonment and Theft.
The two armed robberies in the 9300 block of Edmonston Road:
Two counts Armed Robbery, 2 counts First Degree Assault and 1 count of the Use of a Handgun during the Commission of a Felony.
The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner and for service of the warrants.
