HOW TO PLAY ARE YOU ENERGIZED?
ARE YOU ENERGIZED? is best played with 2 or 3 people.
Objective: Answer correctly multiple-choice questions on energy and water conservation and renewable energy in order to earn the most money (points).
Before starting, decide on the order in which the players will take turns. Get a piece of paper and a pen or pencil to keep score. Write each player’s name on the paper in the order of their turn.
Questions cover six topics: Appliances, Home & Buildings, Energy Facts, Lighting, Renewable Energy, and Water Conservation. There are five questions under each of these topics. Harder questions are valued at a higher dollar amount.
The first player selects a question by clicking on one of the $ squares under any of the six topics on the game board. Click on the answer you think correctly answers the question. If you answer correctly, mark the dollar amount of that question under your name, then click on “Choose the next question” to return to the game board to select another question. If you answer incorrectly, click on “Your opponent now gets to choose.” This brings up the game board, and the next player gets to choose a question.
The game is over when all 30 questions have been selected. Tally up the money each player won.
The player with the most money wins.
Note: If someone mistakenly clicks on a question that has already been selected, click on one of the answers and then click on either “Choose the next question” or “Your opponent now gets to choose” in order to return to the game board to try again.
