LABOR DAY FESTIVAL

Artful Afternoon: Sunday, September 5

The City of Greenbelt is honored to host the 56th Annual Labor Day Festival. The festival is known as a time for many of our city’s non-profit and service organizations to increase their sense of unity with their community. Join family and friends for some quality time throughout this weekend of tradition. Join us for the free youth activities, softball games, and artful afternoon which are offered by the Recreation Department. Stay tuned to the local newspapers for the weekend schedule of events, times and locations.

FALL FEST
October 16, 2:00pm-6:00pm 
Schrom Hills Park


Celebrate Greenbelt’s 73nd year at our beautiful Schrom Hills Park. The Recreation Department will be joining forces with the Public Works, Police and Fire Departments to host our annual Fall Fest. Make plans now to stroll over to Schrom Hills Park and join us for hay rides, games, amusements, pumpkin patch, and art activities. This year’s musical entertainment is JUST US. This is only some of the fun. Lots more is being planned.

SCHOOL'S OUT!!!
Each Schools Out day has a theme (See below). Each day may include swimming, art project, gym activity, outside play time and a special guest.  Lunch and afternoon snack will be provided.  The Program runs from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Before Care is available beginning at 7:00am for an additional $5 per child per session.  After care is also available from 3:30pm to 6pm for an additional $8 per child per session.  Both before care and after care are held at the Greenbelt Youth Center.  Space is limited and pre-registration is required!

Theme: Learn to be a Circus Clown                          
  
Join former Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus performer Greg May for a fun-filled day of circus skills training.   Learn juggling, stilt-walking, unicycling, balance boards, rolling globe, partner acrobatics, and clown gags, including how to safely slip on a banana peel or take a pie in the face!  Campers are safely taught at their individual skill level. Instructor: Greg May & Betty May
