Open enrollment in Greenbelt Nursing Services Program begins Friday, August 4, 2006

The Greenbelt Assistance in Living (GAIL) Program in partnership with Bowie State School of Nursing is currently enrolling Greenbelt residents for the Greenbelt Nursing Services Program .This free program is open to Greenbelt seniors age 60+ or disabled adults 50+. Participants will receive nine home visits from Bowie State University student nurses.

Visits will be scheduled on Mondays between the hours of 9:00 am- 12:00 noon. Free services offered include: Bathing Assistance, Blood Sugar Monitoring & Assistance with Finger Sticks, Health Education, Vital Signs Monitoring, Patient Advocacy with Health Care Professionals and Medication Management. Home visits will begin on Monday, September 18, 2006 and end November 27, 2006. All participants will be asked to complete a satifaction survey at the end of the program.
