GREENBELT CARES
25 Crescent Road, Greenbelt, MD
301-345-6660
Established in 1974, Greenbelt CARES is a community based, family oriented counseling program dedicated to promoting responsible behavior and appropriate family management skills. We provide counseling services for families at our Wednesday Night Family Clinic, and individuals and families may receive counseling services on other days and times as available. We also offer weekly group counseling services to our local schools.
Our Crisis Intervention Counselors work in collaboration with the Greenbelt Police Department to offer immediate services to individuals who come into contact with the police, often as a result of a crime or other emergency situation.
Our Vocational/Educational Counselor offers GED classes, an individual and group tutoring program to assist students in school, and an ODD JOBS/JOB BANK program, to help people with the world of work and help citizens with odd jobs around the community.
We maintain an up-to-date referral listing of local resources, such as support groups and shelters. All of our services are free of charge and available to Greenbelt residents.
So, be sure to visit "Quick Tips" where we hope to offer you a new perspective on issues, provide new techniques and different solutions to the challenges families face.
