WINTER GED COURSE INFORMATION
JANUARY 6, 2020-MARCH 25, 2020
Greenbelt CARES will provide 1 location for the GED program
–WINTER class registration will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 at the SPRINGHILL LAKE Recreation Center Clubhouse, 6101 Cherrywood Lane, Greenbelt, MD 20770, at 10:00 a.m.
-THIS IS A 12-week course, held from January 6, 2019- March 25, 2020. All classes are held at the Springhill Lake Recreation Center Clubhouse, from 10:00 – 12:00.
-The course begins on Monday, January 6, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., 6101 Cherrywood Road, Greenbelt, MD 20770. It meets every MONDAY and WEDNESDAY through Wednesday, March 25, 2020, from 10:00 – 12:00. This class reviews basic math and English skills, critical thinking and analytical skills in social studies, science, and computer skills.
Students should bring a pencil, pen, and notebook. Students must be at least 16 years of age and have withdrawn from school in order to take the GED course.
Students are required to show proof of residency (i.e. current lease, phone or electric bill, driver's license or Motor Vehicle I.D. card).
Students are required to purchase a copy of the GED textbook, calculator and test-taking materials for $45 (purchased from Greenbelt CARES). There is no registration fee for GREENBELT RESIDENTS. Non-Greenbelt residents are required to pay a $ 175 registration fee.
