Drug Drop Box – FREE Service

Metal box labeled "Safe Medication Disposal"Partnering with the Rite Aid Foundations, KidCents Safe Kids Medication Disposal Program, a Drug Drop Box is now located in front of the Greenbelt Police department located at 550 Crescent Road, Greenbelt, MD. It is to be used to conveniently and safely dispose of unwanted/unused/expired prescription medication. This is a free service to citizens where prescription medication can be turned in anonymously 24 hours a day and is not intended to be used by businesses or clinics.

Directions are clearly printed on the box both in English and Spanish.

Accepted items - Any prescription or over the counter medications, vitamins and pet medications.

Not Accepted items - Sharps, thermometers, IV bags, inhalers, hydrogen peroxide, personal care items, lotions, liquids, and Schedule I drugs.
