Eight visual artists currently hold studios at the Greenbelt Community Center. You can meet the artists and shop for original fine arts and fine crafts on our open studio days. Each artist also offers a community engagement activity during the year, so you may meet them at Artful Afternoons, Community Art Drop-In days and other City of Greenbelt special events as well!

GinaThe Artist in Residence Program provides creative professionals with community, exposure and affordable 24-hour workspace. Participation is open to qualifying fine artists and fine craftspersons who are at least 18 years of age. Artists are expected to work in their studios at least 30 hours per month. This program is open to both residents and non-residents of Greenbelt.

Each studio space is located in a sunny former classroom shared with other artists. Studio size is about 10’ X 17’ of dedicated space plus common areas and a shared sink.

Applications are now being accepted for studio space beginning in July. Deadline to apply: Friday, May 3.
Before applying, new applicants must please make an appointment with the Arts Supervisor to tour the studios. Contact Nicole DeWald at
