YMCA Canada is offering free access to a variety of sport skills and physical activity videos, for ages 5-9 and ages 10-15. Let’s cross our northern border for some fitness time with our Canadian neighbors!
Orangetheory Fitness has started providing at home workouts via YouTube. The workouts are anywhere from 30 minutes long to almost an hour long. Each workout starts off with a warm up, followed by the bulk of the workout, and then ends with a stretching cool down. The fitness instructors do a wonderful job of coaching you through the workout by explaining each move and talking you through it.
Life Time is the perfect resource for those who want variety. They offer cardio, strength, yoga, and family classes! On their website, each workout has a mini description that lets the user know if the class is beginner or intermediate level. They also offer their classes on YouTube for those who want to watch the videos on their TV screens.
YMCA is offering free, virtual health and fitness videos on their website. They have a wide variety of classes that are sure to fit the whole family's needs.
CorePower Yoga is offering a limited number of classes online for free. These yoga classes have a description that allows the user to know what areas of the body will be worked, if they need any props, and the intensity of the class.
D.C. United Player Workouts
Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) and D.C. United have teamed up to share some awesome Talon Workout Tapes. These videos are roughly two minutes long and are perfect to use as a warm up before a quick run/bike. Another great way to use these short workouts is to treat each video as if it is a set and repeat the workout 3-4 times.
